IBA Sponsors BI Conference in Moscow

The IBA Group’s member companies, namely IBA Minsk and IBA Rus participated as sponsors in a conference entitled BI: Trends and Prospects. Organized by CNews Conferences and CNews Analytics, the event was held on July 6, 2011 in Moscow, Russia.

Recently, business analysis has turned into an indispensable decision–making tool. According to Sergei Akoulich, Business Development Director of IBA, the number of BI users will continue to grow year after year and if today no one is surprised that BI systems are successfully used at financial and credit companies, these systems will be shortly on demand by marketing and HR divisions, and sales forces at organizations in different industries.

What trends will be guiding the development of the BI market in the near future? Which BI functionality will be on most demand? How will change the situation on the BI provider market and what factors will cause these changes? These and other questions were the focus of the conference that gathered roughly 100 representatives of more than 70 leading organizations of the banking sector, mobile communications, retail and wholesale trade, fuel and energy complex, and transport, as well as market analysts. The attendees included Alpha Bank, Vnesheconombank, Sberbank, Home Credit Bank, Aeroflot Russian Airlines, Gazprom Neft, and Rusenergosbyt.

With more than 30 completed and ongoing projects, IBA Group has extensive experience in the development of BI systems. At the conference, Valery Lubneusky, IBA Department Head, presented the report Key Aspects of BI Implementation. He spoke about the approaches that IBA Group applies to the implementation of BI systems, and the competitive advantages provided by BI tools.
