International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) Latvian Chapter Kick-off meeting will take place at the end of the April on April 29th at 6:00 PM in Riga, Kornvalda blv. 3/5. Event is organized with the support of the Latvian IT Cluster.
IIBA is an independent non-profit organization that unites professionals from all over the world from a broad range of roles – business analysts, system analysts, project managers, consultants and more. Organization was established in October 2003 in Canada with 28 founding members. IIBA develops and maintains standards for business analysis and provides certification for business analysts.
Currently closest IIBA Chapter to Latvia is in Central Europe. At the beginning of year 2010 a number of Latvian business analysts decided to join forces and begin forming IIBA Latvian Chapter. Creation of IIBA Chapter is long process during which every step is checked and quality verified by main IIBA office in Canada. On April 29th during Latvian IIBA Chapter Kick-off meeting prominent IIBA presenter Kathleen B. Hass will be joining via conference call to present IIBA.
Latvian IIBA Chapter considers its mission to develop business analysis profession in Latvia according to the internationally accepted standards. Strategic goals of the Latvian IIBA Chapter are to improve recognition and understanding of the importance of the business analysis profession; create professional development and learning opportunities; provide environment for exchanging experience, allow collaboration and create community; promote certification of qualified professionals using internationally accepted certification program.
