As part of its ever expanding training portfolio, CN Group has launched InDeEd - Internal Developer Education – a new internal staff development programme aimed specifically at improving developer’s technical skills.

The first two half-day InDeEd sessions have already been held.  The topics were chosen, prepared and presented by senior developers themselves and were devoted to:

• Input validation and security of .Net web applications
• Design Patterns (both “Gang-of-four” and others)

(For the non-technical reader, we should explain that a design pattern is a general reusable solution to a commonly occurring problem in software design. It is not a finished design that can be transformed directly into code but a description or template for how to solve a problem that can be used in many different situations.)

The first two sessions were well received and sparked a lot of fruitful informal discussions among the developers attending.
