The global outsourcing & offshoring market is expected to grow from approximately $10bn today, to between $50bn and $60bn by 2009. This dramatic market growth will create an additional 3 million jobs worldwide by 2009. While one million jobs are likely to remain ‘near shore’, the remaining 2 million will be relocated based on the price performance of location.

Now in it’s 5th year, IOF 2009 will this year provide an ideal opportunity for senior executives charged with outsourcing responsibilities to meet major outsourcing supplier organisation from all over the world.

Delegates from various industries including BFSI, telecom and retail will be present at the forum. The supplier’s solutions will range from application development and infrastructure support on the IT side to F&A, customer services and transaction processing on the BPO side as well as up and coming outsourcing solutions such as design and engineering.

At the request of our buyer delegates, we have now combined GOLSS (Global Location Strategy Summit) with IOF.  With new locations for shared services and Centres of Excellence becoming more accessible, diverse and competitive, Investment Promotions Agencies (IPAs) from different geographical regions will be offering sourcing alternatives and promoting local outsourcing partners.  This aspect will look at labour arbitrage, digital infrastructure, language capability and other areas that are imperative in selecting a sourcing location.
