Invitations for foreigners will be issued online. The Cabinet of Ministers approved, at today’s meeting, amendments to the Regulation on the issuance of invitations to foreigners. The new provisions will allow applicants to submit the application online and obtain the necessary document in electronic format.
The approved document regulates the conditions for the submission of the application, as well as the procedure for the examination and adoption of the decision in this respect. Thus, in order to apply for the short-stay visa for the citizens of other states, individuals with permanent or temporary residence in the Republic of Moldova, or legal persons, will submit the application and the documents provided in the Regulation in digital format, stored and managed by the competent authority for foreigners. Following the examination, the electronic invitation, or refusal to issue the document, will be sent to the applicant by e-mail, in a format to ensure viewing and printing.
Receiving and examining on-line requests will simplify existing procedures by reducing the duration of the service and costs incurred by the applicant.
At present, the citizens of 85 states need to obtain invitations to complete the visa for entry into the Republic of Moldova.
