Computing has a major role in lifting businesses out of the economic downturn and helping them understand their customer’s needs, highlighting the value of IT outsourcing in London, an expert asserts.

Phil Flaxton, chief executive of Technology Means Business, states that this has a strong part to play because there have been a large number of developments in this area in recent years.

Among these is mobile communication, which he identifies as having one of the most significant roles.

He asserts: “In or out of a recession, technology will continue to evolve … It’s something that’s pretty unstoppable, really.”

Mr Flaxton says that whether retailer or technology provider, the vital step is to understand the customer and their way of deploying computing, highlighting the need for IT outsourcing in London.

Recent research by SAP UK found that half of companies are looking at new channels as a way of increasing venue, with one in three automating IT processes to free up time.
