IT outsourcing can save companies up to 30 per cent, freeing up capital and human resources, according to experts.

Advisory firm Alsbridge says using an IT outsourcing enterprise gives businesses access to world-class technology and process improvement.

It highlights the particular benefits for retailers, who are cutting down more than most as demand shrinks, suggesting that IT outsourcing can increase user and management satisfaction, improve vendor relationships and transform delivery models for better performance.

“Companies need to conduct board level due diligence on functional areas of opportunity, take a leadership perspective [and] position themselves to make good decisions,” says Micky Houston, managing director of Alsbridge.

The firm advises businesses that are facing increasing pressures to reduce costs to take action as soon as is practical.
