IT outsourcing: Websites becoming more important for tourism industry

Companies in the tourism industry could be turning to IT outsourcing as a way of ensuring that their websites are working effectively as these are becoming more important when booking a break abroad, an expert suggests.

Carmel Dennis, project manager at New Media Trend Watch, claims that this method of communication is providing more customers with ways to access these services, highlighting the importance of keeping these operating smoothly.

She says that the internet is allowing more women who remain at home to look after children to access these services, as researching and booking holidays is easy to combine with childcare.

Plenty of opportunities are made available through the internet and people with the chance to take advantage of this do, she claims, highlighting the importance of maintaining a website using IT support in London.

Ms Dennis states: “Women were traditionally the key decision-makers in family holidays, so this is now reflected in the use of the internet for this purpose.”

A recent study by eDigitalResearch has called for businesses to take steps to improve customer-focused websites, highlighting the need for IT outsourcing of this function.
