IT services market not to slow down growth in 2009

The IT services market will be one of the few market segments that will not slow down growth in 2009, experts of the multinational IT services network – Computer Troubleshooters predict.

The Romanian IT services market was put at some 220 million euros in 2007, with an increase rate between 20 and 23%. In 2006 its value was assessed at 180 million euros.

“Between 2006 – 2007 the market structure was stable, as it recorded relatively equal increases on all IT services sub-segments. The increase rate of the IT services investments in 2008 was estimated at approx. 20% with support and system integration services still dominating the IT services market this year”, Computer Troubleshooters experts say.

In their opinion, the financial crisis will positively influence the IT services market as many companies will have to outsource such services in order to cut back costs and the companies to be mostly affected by this strategy will be the small and medium-sized enterprises.

In countries such a s Germany, Italy, USA or Canada the price of the computer maintenanceservices may reach up to 80-100 euros per operation, depending on the complexity level.

Computer Troubleshooters has a market share exceeding 10%, operating in 12 cities and in 2007 it reported a total turnover of nearly half a million euros. The company expects a 30% increase, with the turnover to reach 550,000 euros in 2008 and 750,000 euros in 2009.

Computer Troubleshooters is the only IT services franchise in Romania with branches in 12 cities. The company has been present in the Romanian market since November 2005.

It is the biggest IT services franchise, operating in 25 countries with more than 475 branches providing a wide range of IT services at the customer’s office.
