Greater Helsinki Promotion in cooperation with Technopolis Ventures offers you a unique opportunity to participate in one of the major VC events for 2008, the IVA Hi-Tech Conference 2008. The event is held in Tel Aviv, Israel 19.-20.5.2008. There will be a finnish delegation to Israel with representatives from start-ups, VC’s and public sector. The delegation will take place on 17.-21.5.2008.

Background

The Israeli Venture Capital Association (IVA) has offered the finnish organizers an opportunity to bring 5-10 promising start-ups plus an accompanying delegation to Tel Aviv for IVA’s annual conference, which attracts about 1,500 global players from the high tech industry, including VC and Corporate investors. Large number of global VC’s will attend the conference.

Main activities and benefits

Finnish organizers and the local supporting groups will the most relevant investors to participate in the FIN-ISR VC Networking event held in conjunction with the IVA Event at 21.5.2008. It is expected that companies will meet 10-20 VC`s or other potential investors.

In addition startups will benefit from the one-to-one meetings arranged by the organisers outside the VC community. These meetings are planned to reach the most relevant partners including smaller Israeli companies and large Israeli global players. Each participating start-ups will be created a personal meeting program.

Thirdly, start-ups will benefit from the networking opportunity on the IVA Event. In addition there is an opportunity for corporate visits. These visits will include local incubators, corporations and other relevant players in the Israeli early-stage ecosystem.
