Koito communicates electronically with its customers

The Czech plant of the Japanese supplier of automotive lighting Koito Czech, s.r.o. is going to start using the Axway TradeSync Integration Manager to ensure electronic data interchange (call-offs, delivery notes, etc.) with its customers – car manufacturers. The new EDI system shall be implemented by the Aimtec Company, which has a rich experience with introducing electronic communication tools for automotive industry companies.

Koito is a Japanese company, which owns twelve production plants in eight countries. The Czech Republic became one of them in 2002 with a new plant opened in Zatec. Koito is a leading manufacturer of all kinds of automotive lighting equipment. It delivers headlamps to companies, such as Porsche, PSA, Audi, Renault, Faurecia, Valmet and Plastic Omnium. The Koito Czech Company had communicated with its customers via a server located in Belgium. Despite the fact that the server was moved to the Czech Republic, Koito Czech was not satisfied with the support provided by a Belgian service provider. Therefore, Koito has decided to choose a new partner to ensure EDI communication. The company addressed its current information technologies supplier – the Czech Aimtec Company.

In Koito, Aimtec implements a top EDI solution – TradeSync Integration Manager by the Axway Company. Aimtec is its business partner for the Czech and Slovak market. In the initial project phase, twenty partners – customers of the Koito Company shall be connected. Among the partners are leading European car manufacturers, such as Porsche, Audi, PSA and Renault. By means of the EDI solution, Koito shall be able to receive electronic call-offs from car manufacturers. It shall send to them delivery notes (ASN) electronically. The exchange of messages with Renault shall use a special format typical for Renault – CINDI (Common Identification Number for Deliveries Improvement).
