L-TRANS receives electronic EDI messages

AIMTEC a.s. delivers an EDI solution to a Slovakian carrier L-TRANS Logistics s.r.o.

Slovakian carrier L-TRANS Logistics chose, for electronic communication with its suppliers, the robust AXWAY TradeSync Integration Manager system from a Czech provider AIMTEC a.s. The solution will enable L-TRANS to meet customer requirements, secure further cooperation with customers and help attract new clients.

L-TRANS Logistics s.r.o. based in Stupava, provides comprehensive services in the field of international and vehicular goods transport, spedition services and forwarding. Some of its customers are manufacturing companies, suppliers to the automotive industry, for example: Faurecia, IAC, Plastic Omnium, Slovakian Door Company.

Aimtec – partner with experience

For its EDI communication, L-TRANS chose the Pilsen based Aimtec on recommendation and a number of references. The TradeSync Integration Manager is already working for many logistics companies, who offer their services to clients from the same segments as L-TRANS. Aimtec received the request from L-TRANS at the end of last year, and within a very short time frame of four weeks from start of negotiations was able to implement electronic communication with an existing customer to full satisfaction of both parties – the carrier and the client. An indisputable advantage of the TradeSync Integration Manager tool is its ability to be extended to other partners or communication formats as well as to be fully integrated into different ERP systems.

Ensuring integration and extensibility in L-TRANS

In Phase I, L-TRANS will receive orders from Faurecia. The messages will be sent in the VDA 4905 format. In the future, extension to at least another four partners with the option to also provide the so-called Selfbilling, is expected. Full integration of the EDI into an existing internal L-TRANS system is guaranteed. The system is an information system SPED utilising an SQL database.

The project of implementation and configuration of a message interchange system TradeSync Integration Manager commenced on January 5, 2010, and is to be fully operational on January 29, 2010.
