MATADOR communicates quickly and more effectively

Aimtec once again proves its worth in B2B communication within the specific environment of the automotive industry. This time we are talking about a Slovakian company MATADOR Automotive Vrable, a.s., who chose the robust Axway TradeSync Integration Manager solution for their electronic communication with business partners. The main objective was the unification of Matador’s communication platform and effective expansion of communication with other partners.

MATADOR Automotive Vrable, a.s., is part of the Matador corporation. This Slovakian plant focusses on the stamping of metal parts, production of complex welded and assembled systems especially for car bodies, for instance bumper beams, instrument panel beams, door frames or floors. Significant references are big names from automotive and electronics industries, such as Volkswagen, Porsche, Audi, Skoda, Suzuki, Daimler, PSA, Magna, Faurecia, SAS, Inalfa Roof Systems, or Samsung Elektronics a Daikin to name but a few.

B2B communication supported by experience

MATADOR Automotive needed a complex technological and process platform for B2B communication with their business partners. It further required the chosen solution to be ready for future expansion and speedy connection of new communication partners. The Matador management decided on a top-class product TradeSync Integration Manager, which includes a compact environment for electronic data interchange which fully meets current as well as future challenging customer demands. Matter of course and a necessity is the system’s full integration into the SAP ERP system. Implementation partner is AIMTEC a.s., who has specific experiences with EDI projects from other plants, for instance Matador Continental Rubber.

B2B communication fit for further development

The aim of the new solution is the reimplementation of existing processes, integration of a logistics concept PSA, deployment of new OFTP2 and AS2 protocols, construction data interchange (ENGDAT) and meeting all of Matador’s communication requirements. Message conversions will be processed in SAP XI. These are namely the following types of messages DELFOR, CALDEL/DELJIT, DESADV, RECADV, INVOICE, SELFBILLING and VDA4905, 4915, 4913, 4906, 4908, 4907. Main benefits of unifying the B2B platform for communication is the reduction of electronication communication costs, thanks to consolidation and standardisation of processes. At the same time, securing a platform for future development and effective expansion of electronic communication between business partners of MATADOR Automotive Vrable, a.s.

The project commenced in June 2009 and finished on schedule in October. During the next phase, a supplier portal WebEDI will be implemented, utilising Aimtec’s own solution and product DCI MySupplier.
