Ministry of Justice have impemented one of the largest data transmission networks in the country

EXATEL in cooperation with Telekomunikacja Kolejowa has developed one of the largest VPN MPLS data transmission networks in Poland. The structure has been created for Ministry of Justice and it consists in 327 dispersed location offices of the entity. The services have been already launched. They will help different companies as well as private entities gain easy access to different court registers including Land and Mortgage Register, National Official Register of Business Entities and Pledge Register.

“The most important argument that convinced us to choose VPN MPLS solution was the safety and quality guarantee of the network. We were urged by the timeframe of the implementation of the integrated network, we needed to ease the access to state registers and facilitate the flow of information in order to lower it’s cost for the companies as well as the citizens of our country.” – said Jaroslaw Paszke, Director of the IT and State Registers Department in the Ministry of Justice.

“The modern VPN MPLS technology, which EXATEL as a first telecom provider has implemented in Poland, has enabled much faster data transfer between the locations of our client, strengthening the security of the information but in the same time lowering the cost of such service.” – said Zbigniew Dziarnowski, Director of the Public Administration Division in EXATEL SA.

The tender for construction of the wide WAN for the integrated system for the state registers – including Land and Mortgage Register, National Official Register of Business Entities and Pledge Register – was announced by the Ministry of Justice in summer of 2008. From this moment, the completion of the project took only 9 months.

The service was implemented on the infrastructure of data transmission lines and collated VPN channels. The cost of the contract has totaled to gross 33 ml zl.

For many years EXATEL has specialized in implementation of the VPN MPLS networks. It developed it’s first modern MPLS network in 2002 as a first telecom operator in Poland. The company has a longstanding tradition in implementing VPN networks basing on various technologies. Among it’s clients form the public administration we find: Agency for Restructuration and Modernisation of Agriculture, National Health Fund, Office of Electronic Communications, National Labour Inspectorate, Supreme Chamber of Control, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Finance. EXATEL’s corporate client list include many entities for financial sector such as PKO Bank Polski SA, Raiffeisen Bank Polska SA and Grupa PZU where the project consist in 100 dispersed locations.
