The General Assembly of the International Software Qualification Board held a meeting on June 16-17 in Rome. Alexander Tarasenko, Miratech Director of Quality & Processes, participated in the event as a chairman of the Ukrainian Software Quality Board.

29 countries attended this regular ISTQB General Assembly meeting. So far over 170 thousand certificates have been issued through the efforts of ISTQB.

During the meeting in Rome the assembly members discussed various aspects of introducing the electronic exam service and analyzed the supporting and concurrent certification schemes for software testers. In addition, during several roundtable discussions the participants laid down a plan for launching the expert level certification program for software testers.

In a series of votes Alexander Tarasenko supported those decisions of the General Assembly which would enable Ukraine and Miratech in particular to participate more actively in the operation of ISTQB and facilitate Ukrainian testers getting internationally certified.
