The Unicorn group of companies, which provides complex services in the area of information technologies, achieved sales of EUR 56.56 millions in 2012. This is the best performance ever in over twenty years of the group’s existence. The group, comprised of Unicorn Systems, Unicorn Universe and Unicorn College, employed 941 people last year.

Unicorn group sales consisted of 97 % service deliveries, particularly the building up, integration, operation and support of information systems for clients in primarily banking, insurance, energy and utilities, industry, telecommunications and sales and services. Foreign contracts accounted for more than 30 % of total sales.

Regular customers of Unicorn Systems on the Czech market in 2012 included Komerční banka, Česká spořitelna, Československá obchodní banka, ŠKODA AUTO, ČEPS, Allianz, DHL, Tesco, Vodafone, Telefónica and others. Key contracts on the Slovak market included systems for Tatra banka, Poštová banka, Všeobecná úverová banka, Slovenská sporiteľňa, the transmission system operator SEPS, and the Orange mobile phone operator. Unicorn Systems has also successfully continued to acquire and implement projects for European power companies such as TenneT, APX-ENDEX, BritNed, TSC, Elia and others.

In 2012, there was a major increase in the number of users of Unicorn Universe internet service. More than 37 000 users from more than 270 organizations performed more than 530 million use cases. As well as growing interest in information systems for companies and organizations within Business Territory, there was also a major increase in users of My Territory service, intended for personal life management.

A total of 366 students are currently enrolled at Unicorn College. Unicorn College also runs Unicorn Top Gun Academy internal training programs, intended for employees of the Unicorn group. In 2012, 862 participants successfully completed one of these courses. Last year, Unicorn College also acquired ČNB accreditation to conduct tests aimed at proving professional competence according to the law on supplementary pension saving schemes.
