Netage Solutions Client 360 Global Capital Featured in Buy-Side Technology Magazine

Netage Solutions, Inc., a premier provider of CRM software and online reporting systems for the alternative assets industry, announced that its hedge fund client, 360 Global Capital, is featured in a Buy-Side Technology article discussing client management and reporting systems in the wake of growing demands from institutional investors for greater transparency. The story, entitled “Great Expectations”, appeared in the May 2009 issue of the publication, which focuses exclusively on business and technology issues facing buy-side executives.

In the article, Buy-Side Technology Editor Victor Anderson discusses at length the CRM and reporting needs of 360 Global Capital, a global equity long/short hedge fund launched in 2008 by Rick Abeyta, one of the co-founders of $1.25 billion hedge fund, Stadia Capital. According to Alvarez Symonette, Vice President, the firm began using Netage’s hedge fund CRM software, Dynamo™, over a year ago to manage and track client information in the lead up to its launch.

“Rick had a number of industry contacts that he had developed over the years and as we began to aggregate those names, we found that we needed a reliable database to track and connect all of the relationships,” Symonette says in the article. “We made the decision to go with Dynamo™ after looking at several other products mainly because of its integration with Outlook. If you’ve ever used a database that’s separate from Outlook, you often find yourself repeating multiple processes. And so from an efficiency perspective and from the point of view of having seamless technology, we found that it was a good and not overly expensive solution.”

The article goes on to discuss how 360 Global Capital employs the Dynamo™ Mail Merge Wizard to communicate with, and report to, investors. Specifically, its powerful relational capabilities allow the hedge fund to customize specific e-mail messages for different types of contacts. “While there is common information that we share with all qualified investors, we are careful to provide only investors in the fund with the highest level of detail,” Symonette explains. “The software has a flexible feature that allows you to assign roles and place contacts on different tiers allowing you, for example, to segregate fund investors from potential investors.”
