Participated in the visit were Valery Kutsyy, Chief Executive Officer of Miratech, Mykola Royenko, President of Miratech, Alexey Perekatov, Miratech Vice President, Corporate Marketing, and Sergey Reznichenko, Director, Project Management Office. Banks were represented by senior management and heads of IT departments. The purpose of the visit was the study of the Norwegian approach to IT, counsel on prospects for cooperation of domestic financiers with EDB, as well as knowing of economic and technological potential of the solutions that are being used successfully in Norway, and the prospects for the promotion of models and technologies provided by EDB in the domestic environment.

During the visit were conducted the following activities: working meeting with the officials of the Norwegian group; visit to the EDB Monitoring and Data Centers; roundtable with Wiljar Nesse, EDB Executive Vice President B&F, which addressed the issues of development, adaptation and implementation through Miratech of industry solutions provided by EDB on the Ukrainian market of financial services.

Ukrainians were surprised by the fact that the IT department of this organization, whose staff has some 20 employees, numbers only one person. However, EDB services allow it to offer its customers a broad range of banking services, including maintenance of payment cards, Internet- and SMS-banking, taking deposits and issuing loans. Worth mentioning is that servicing provided by EDB (apart from servicing Data Center) implies accountability to the Central Bank of Norway and other regulatory authorities.

In general, members of the delegation have given a high score to the solutions offered by EDB; they stressed their efficiency and economic viability in the face of economic volatility, put forward proposals for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the future. In particular, it was deemed necessary to accelerate the process of introduction in Ukraine of new services for banking and insurance, which are a joint offer of EDB Miratech.
