Outsourcing Institute and EquaTerra to Launch Research Study on Outsourcing Trends in the Mid Market

To gain insights into outsourcing trends in 2008 and beyond, The Outsourcing Institute and EquaTerra are conducting a research study among buyers in the Outsourcing Institute network. The collected data will be released as a series of findings, the first of which will focus on outsourcing trends in the mid market. The mid market here is defined as companies with annual revenues between $500M and $1.5B.
Topics that will be covered in the outsourcing research report include:

  • The organization’s current and anticipated levels of ITO and BPO activity
  • The key benefits the organization seeks from its outsourcing efforts
  • The most important attributes of next generation outsourcing – or “Outsourcing 2.0″ – (e.g., innovative pricing models, multi-shoring, the use of more sophisticated outsourcing management and governance processes, techniques and tools, etc.)
  • Who are the key outsourcing decision makers in the organization
  • Key drivers behind why they are outsourcing

What they seek in their service provider

Said Frank Casale, CEO of The Outsourcing Institute, “We are excited about all aspects of this joint research initiative, we are especially keen to gain direct buy-side insights into mid market outsourcing trends. There is a significant amount of interest in the mid market outsourcing space, yet very little actual data available. That’s about to change.”

“We look forward to gaining insights from The Outsourcing Institute membership,” said Stan LePeak, EquaTerra Managing Director of Research. “The responses to this research and ensuing analysis will help paint an unbiased picture of market needs, challenges and near-term plans for outsourcing and offshoring.
