Polish Lear shows satisfaction with DCI+

Once again, Aimtec proves itself with the DCI MySite WM system in a Polish plant of the Lear Corporation Group

Lear Corporation Poland, Jaroslaw plant, will use a Warehouse Management System from Czech company AIMTEC a.s. for the management of its material and finished goods warehouse. The main reason for the deployment of a logistics management system is the reduction of inventory levels whilst increasing turnover, accurate evidence of stock in ERP and the elimination of errors in manual input.

Lear Corporation Poland II Spolka z.o.o. is part of Lear Corporation Group, which is a long standing TOP 10 worldwide automotive supplier. The Polish Lear focuses on the production of textile and leather seat covers. Main customers of the Jaroslaw operation are Fiat, Ford, Toyota and PSA.

Benefits of DCI MySite already proven within Lear

With the investment approved, the Polish plant in Jaroslaw did not hesitate too long with the choice of an information system for the warehouse management of its material and finished goods warehouse. The Lear management in Poland already had a proven experience with the DCI MySite product from the Pilsen-based Aimtec, because the DCI MySite solution had already been successfully deployed in another Polish operation in Tychy. They could, on their own company logistics processes, confirm the benefits that DCI brings to the customers.

Lear’s top management expects the Jaroslaw project to bring significant inventory reduction, a dramatic error rate decrease, improvement of the delivery quality and a lean production supply with minimal warehouse-to-warehouse stock. This method of replenishment will be ensured using an electronic Kanban. When picking goods for production and at dispatch the FIFO control (ISO and SOX requirement) will be applied, and traceability ensured. Warehouse staff and management personnel will have actual information about the processes in a corporate information system ERP Lx.

DCI MySite – corporate WMS?

The DCI MySite implementation project commenced at the end of September 2009 and is set to run until mid-January 2010, when productive operation is expected. Implementation of the flexible DCI MySite system in Jaroslaw represents another step in the Lear management‘s chosen strategy to make DCI MySite an indisputable synonymum for a WMS system across the entire Lear Corporation Group.
