Dafora, leader on Romanian drilling market, announces the successful completion of Primavera project management system implementation. Primavera is world leader in project and portfolio management solutions, for which TotalSoft is the sole representative in Romania. With a turnover of EUR 40 mil. during 2009 and about 1000 employees, Dafora won this year a project of RON 67 mil. (without VAT) to rehabilitate and extend the water and sewage system in the Medias town.

The solution, implemented by TotalSoft by now in more than 600 companies in Romania, is a resource planning and control tool, also providing the possibility of budgeting the works in the company per projects, while supporting the strategic decisions through forecasts and “what if ?” scenarios.

By implementing Primavera project management system, the target is to monitor the project management activity at project level and company level, and the improvement of reporting and analyzing capacity, as well. Thus, the project management competencies will extend over the entire company, by making the project database available to all departments. Also, the system will be the basis for defining a guide line in carrying out projects and improving the quality of the provided services.

Primavera will have a significant part in defining the business strategy because, due to the information that Primavera makes available, it can influence the company decision to get involved in certain types of works, in purchasing equipment, in human resources policy (employing a certain category of employees, etc.) and also in policies of subcontracting partner companies. 

The business goals in 2010 are to complete all the contracted projects in Primavera system. Real-time data and weekly and monthly reports based on information in the system, completed and related to other data within the company will result in benefits for all building yards. The causes of any problems occurred during the projects and making the right decisions in order to reach the deadlines and the budgets could also be determined.
