E-learning providers strive to be the first to add the newest functions to their e-learning platforms. But is this easier, more agreeable, and effortless for the user? For us, the security of our e-learning platforms is not just about looks, it’s about safety.
Many companies and organizations are concerned about the implementation of e-learning systems because they consider it a security risk. It is not easy for e-learning to rid itself of this unfavourable reputation. Even once an e-learning system wins the war against the personnel department, another battle begins with the IT department. The main security risks concerning e-learning systems include preventing the disclosure of corporate data, protecting copyrights, and preventing the so-called ActiveX security holes. Unfortunately, only a minority of e-learning providers are capable of accomplishing all three.
The larger the organization, the more stringent the safety criteria need be. We consider it a great success that our very own KvinElearning passed the most rigid tests of the French telecommunications operator Orange. Their IT specialists decided to use KvinElearning as Orange’s first secure e-learning platform. “Our system bypasses all known security shortcomings,” says Pavel Ponizil, CEO of Kvintech.
