The 7th edition of St. Petersburg Technical Fair PTFair is going to be held on March 13-15, 2012. Being the main exhibition site for industrial achievements of Russia’s North-West, it includes representative international exhibitions and informative conferences covering metallurgy, metalworking and industrial innovations.

Having a professional site for products’ proper demonstration is an issue of high importance to Russia’s manufacturers. PTFair meets this challenge correspondingly by providing an opportunity to demonstrate a wide range of state-of-the-art equipment and up-to-date industrial technologies. It also permits to compare the domestic enterprises’ competitiveness with their foreign analogues, which is a significant contribution to the industrial development on a worldwide scale.

Over the years the PTFair has achieved and secured its status of the main industry event in Russian Federation and become a reliable marketing tool for businesses’ evolving and efficacious matchmaking. It is here where exchange of experience occurs, innovations are presented, and mutually beneficial links between industrial leaders are strengthened.

Ever-impressive execution of the PTFair in St. Petersburg proves that this city still remains a “window to Europe”. The significance mentioned can be easily reaffirmed by the results of the event’s holding in 2011: over 500 leading industrial and innovation companies from 27 countries – including Germany, Finland, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Taiwan, etc – were represented in 3 pavilions of the largest venue in Russia’s Northern capital. The total number of attendees at the PTFair events made up 8,200 specialists and experts.

The PTFair exhibition program combines several major sectoral directions at once. Besides the traditional exposition which embraces the Metalworking; Metallurgy and Casting; Mechanical Engineering; High Technologies. Innovations. Investments (Hi-Tech) exhibitions – the program contains promising novelties as well. In view of the sector’s trends, the following additional topics are to be highlighted in 2012: Fasteners; Non-metallic materials; Services for industrial enterprises.

The events included in the exhibition program will offer a full panorama of modern technologies, materials, equipment and innovative achievements concerning a wide range of important industrial and research spheres.

Along with the exhibitions, the business program comprises the St. Petersburg Industrial Congress – the main PTFair event aimed at discussing industry problems and prospects, innovations and high-tech. The Non-metals in Machine Building: Production, Treatment and Usage assembly of chief technologists and Anti-corrosion Protection of Metal Constructions round-table meeting are to be held within the Congress’s framework. The Modern Power Saving Technologies in Metallurgy assembly of chief power engineering specialists – as well as specialists of metallurgical and casting enterprises – is also on the agenda.

The PTFair will be accompanied by the VI St. Petersburg Partneriat, which is a unique communications platform for interregional and international networking and cooperating. The Partneriat will provide experts, specialists and businessmen with an opportunity to discuss one-on-one the measures for maintaining economic stability and supporting small and medium business through inter-regional and border industrial collaboration.

Despite the fact there is plenty of time left before the event’s opening, the exhibitions’ formation is under way: both regular participants and new companies are booking stands already. The following companies have announced their participation by now: Alflet Engineering AG, Arsenal Komplekt, ASM-service, Weber Comechanics, Measurement technologies, Irlen-Engineering, ITA-SPB, Krasnokamsky RMZ, Petrostal, Finval Industry, Hi-tech Instrument. Furthermore, industrial and research organisations of the Republic of Belarus, Germany, Finland, Czech Republic, and China will be widely represented at the PTFair exhibitions.
