On April 16, 2010 ScienceSoft received the award as Best Exporter of the Year 2009 in the field of information technology.

The annual national contest was organized by the Belarusian chamber of industry and commerce in association with ministries and agencies and was designed to select the leading exporting Belarusian companies in various domains, such as information technology, electronics and instrument engineering, manufacturing of building materials, food industry, etc. The 11 winners in the respective categories were selected from the final shortlist of 44 companies.

The assessment criteria used to evaluate business and financial performance were the following: volume and geography of exports, share of exports in the total output, and existence of subsidiaries and representations abroad. “About 99 % of the software developed by ScienceSoft specialists is being exported to more than 20 countries. Thus, we are very pleased that our efforts and successes were awarded. In fact, thanks to the advantages offered to the residents of the Belarusian High-Tech Park our IT industry has a great potential for further development of the export-oriented business. Besides, recent trends in the European IT market allow us to count on growth in demand for programming services in the years ahead,” says Nikolay Kurayev, CEO at ScienceSoft.

In 2009 ScienceSoft team concentrated their efforts to overcome the crisis and laid the foundation for future growth. That year the company set the ground for the opening of sales office in Helsinki – ScienceSoft Finland Oy. Besides, ScienceSoft established partnership relations with one of the leading players in the global digital gaming industry and the fastest-growing company in Sweden. Finally, several road shows and other marketing activities were held in Western Europe.
