It appears the small business owners are extremely loyal when it comes to IT outsourcing, as a recent study revealed that six per cent of bosses are more likely to get divorced that move to a new IT support provider.

The survey of 210 small businesses in Hertfordshire and Essex by Shadowfax found that just under half of firms change their IT support provider because they offer poor value for money or are not knowledgeable enough.

Nearly a third of firms said they are likely look for different IT support in London because the business is outgrowing them, while 41 per cent said they would change their provider if it became too expensive.

“It shows how important a good IT support company is to a small business,” said Shadowfax’s managing director Adam Pedder.

Last week, a study by Ramsac – published in SME Web – revealed that IT outsourcing can reduce costs for small and medium-sized enterprises by around two-thirds.
