Representatives of Sofica Group management together with members of the Macedonian press and the director of the Macedonian Foreign Investment Agency held a press conference to announce the launch of Sofica Macedonia – a Sofica Group company.

At the press conference, Mr. Stefan Bumov, General manager of Sofica Group and Anita Blazhevska, Manager of Sofica Macedonia, talked about the company and their plans to expand the company’s markets to Former Yugoslavia, Albania and Eastern Europe. The founding of Sofica Macedonia is part of those plans and the company’s first investment outside of Bulgaria.

“Over the last year we have analyzed the Macedonian market in detail and determined that it has some exceptional competitive advantages, which makes it an ideal steppingstone for our future growth. The reason for us to start from here is that for us Macedonia is a bridge to expand to countries as Former Yugoslavia, Kosovo and Albania, by training young people that speak the languages of the neighboring countries.” – As pointed out by Sofica. The Bulgarian investors expressed particular gratitude towards Viktor Mizo, director of the Macedonian Foreign Investment Agency, for the support provided during the process of analysis and realization of the investment.

For the first year the forecasted new job openings are 100, and 400 to 500 for a 3 to 5 year period. The total planned investment is in the neighborhood of 5 to 7 million in the course of 3 to 5 years.

Sofica’s strategy is to maintain its dynamic growth in the next three years by expanding its service portfolio, attracting new strategic clients from the local and foreign markets as well as maintaining and further developing its existing client base.
