SoftServe, a leading global provider of proven high quality software development and consulting, has been recognized as the 2010 Benefactor of the Year in the Lviv region of Ukraine.

On January 2nd, the award ceremony “People of the Year – Golden Lion 2010” took place in the Lviv Philharmonic Hall. An independent panel of competent judges named SoftServe the winner in the category of Corporate Benefactor of the Year for providing long-term financial support to the Dzherelo education and rehabilitation centre. The contest in the Lviv region is represented by the SAMI fund, while the co-organizers include the Lviv City Council and Ukrainian Catholic University.

SoftServe sponsored the implementation of a nutrition program at the Dzherelo centre enabling prolongation of the school day. Consequently, this increased the volume of rehabilitation, educational and other services provided to children with special needs in the Lviv region.
