SoftServe Provides Content Integration Service for ASG Software Solutions

SoftServe announced that it has teamed with ASG Software Solutions, a worldwide leader in business solutions for global enterprises, to integrate the company’s ASG-Total Content Integrator™ (ASG-TCI) with Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS). The combined application, ASG-TCI for MOSS, merges the content integration capabilities of ASG-TCI with the industry standard document management, collaboration and portal functionality of SharePoint. Delivered via SoftServe’s flagship combination of people, processes and tools, the solution gives ASG’s customers a secure, scalable content management system accessible and searchable via a single, easy-to-use Web interface.

The vast amount of electronically stored information used in today’s enterprises is scattered across multiple locations in disparate repositories and on differing software platforms. Since SharePoint has become the solution of choice for document management, collaboration and portal functionality, users now seek integrated access to both SharePoint and non-SharePoint information utilizing the familiar SharePoint interface. Moreover, enterprises have a pressing need to archive documents created and managed via SharePoint to a secure and scalable repository that supports flexible storage options over the entire document lifecycle.

ASG, whose ASG-TCI provides fast, easy and secure access to all digital information stored across the enterprise, recognized the need to integrate its solution with this industry standard Web services platform. ASG chose SoftServe to manage the integration because of the outsourcer’s professional reputation for building the most skilled teams, efficient processes and robust technology tools to provide unparalleled service, development and testing across the entire product lifecycle.

“The combination of talent, processes and tools that SoftServe brought to the ASG-TCI for MOSS project surpassed our expectations, and we are confident the solution will provide lasting value for our customers,” said Miguel Rodriguez, senior product manager, ASG. “By merging our content management technology with the collaboration functionality of SharePoint, we’re able to offer document and records management via a single user interface to share business-critical information. We’ve extended the ROI for our own solution, as well as SharePoint, giving our clients the tools they require to enable the success of their businesses.”

ASG-TCI for MOSS now offers ASG’s clients drastically reduced total-cost-of-ownership of their technology and content infrastructure, improved compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, a single and scalable archive of business-critical records, business continuity in the face of unforeseen events and countless additional benefits. ASG customers receive added value from the ASG-TCI implementation and an increased return on overall technology investments.

“SoftServe is focused first and foremost on client service, and working with ASG gave us the unique and challenging opportunity to expand our software lifecycle service offerings and incorporate these innovative, business-enabling technologies,” said Taras Kytsmey, president, SoftServe. “In working on the ASG-TCI for MOSS project, we’ve built both a sensational software application, as well as what we believe will be a lasting and beneficial relationship with ASG.”

SoftServe was recently recognized by Microsoft Corp. as Central and Eastern Europe Partner of the Year 2009 for its work on projects such as the ASG-TCI for MOSS integration.
