The aim of the conference is to exchange experiences and views between the representatives of different environments on subject concerning the management of quality assurance in IT projects – SQAM(Software Quality Assurance Management). It is a unique opportunity for experts to meet software quality and testing experts and to gain a substantive and practical knowledge in software development.

Software Mind, a company operating in the IT sector, has been continuously promoting good practices to improve the quality of information systems. The company puts a strong emphasis on proper optimisation of production processes, and working on innovative projects for demanding clients has helped to discern tangible benefits of the high quality of delivered products.

During the conference, we would particularly like to invite to a presentation “Where do test cases come from?” which will be given by Mrs. Monika Braun, Software Mind Quality Director.

  • Over the years, test documentation seemed to be like a Yeti, almost everyone had heard about it, but it had never been seen. Fortunately, in recent times the perception of test documentation has changed radically. Probably no one who is seriously engaged in testing would attempt to carry out tests without having previously prepared decent cases and test scenarios. Education has also reached customers, who are gladly using cases and test scenarios for carrying out Customer Acceptance Tests (CAT).

One can write dozens of test cases, but the real challenge is to create such tests which will allow detecting as many errors as possible. During the presentation, the value of developing test cases will be presented along with the most popular techniques of case development.

The participants will learn how to create test cases which enable efficient system testing and major error detection. Also, the presentation will help to understand how to manage test cases created in the planing stage.

The conference will also cover the following subjects:

  • controlled automation
  • where do test cases come from
  • the perfect test – what should it be like so that testers would not be needed?
  • tester testing – or how Myers and Briggs will help us at work
  • the quest for quality
  • SOA testing notes
  • how to select the testing process for a project based on software testing standards
  • quality in Agile projects – the importance of functional test automation
  • application discovery – exploratory testing
  • automatic security tests – a new area for testers, or just an invention of tools’ manufacturers?
  • top 10 functionality errors in web services based on own research
