Syriuszstd supports the labour market in Poland

Sygnity S.A. has started the second stage of implementation of the Syriuszstd system, which is a modern solution dedicated for the Public Employment Services. The second stage will cover 13 district job centres, among others in Grudziadz, Kedzierzyn-Kozle, Elblag and Lowicz and will finish in June 2009. The implementation of the Syriuszstd software is carried out as part of the agreement concluded in January 2009 between Sygnity S.A. and the Human Resources Development Centre (Centrum Rozwoju Zasobow Ludzkich), a unit created by the Minister of Labour and Social Policy). The value of the software implementation and development agreement amounts to over PLN 36 million net. As targeted Syriuszstd is to be used in 340 district job centres throughout the country and to be utilized by about 20 thousand active users. Implementation is planned to be completed in June 2011.

The Syriuszstd system is an innovative solution, which introduces new quality to the IT services provided for the Public Employment Services. Syriuszstd is the successor of the SI PULS system, which was created and implemented by Sygnity S.A and was used in district job centres, regional job centres and at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy since 1999.

“The system’s modern architecture, more than 10 years of experience on the market of Public Employment Services and co-operation with the best experts, people who have co-designed the solutions as representatives of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and the district job centers, all that contributed to the solution which we can boast of not only within Poland but also throughout Europe” says Ewa Jagiello, Deputy Director General of the Public Sector of Sygnity S.A.

In the first quarter of 2009 the pilotage implementation of the Syriuszstd system started in three job centres. One of them is the District Job Centre in Garwolin, which was chosen to carry out this stage of the project because of its experience in realization of projects of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy.

“The previous system which we used has undergone many modifications resulting from the constant legal changes and therefore working with it was becoming more and more difficult” says Waldemar Zieba, the Director of the District Job Centre in Garwolin. – Syriusz is a modern, flexible and coherent piece of software It acknowledges the currently binding legal acts and fully conforms to our current needs.

The implementation lasted for a month. Using a multilayer software architecture ensures faster and more efficient functioning of the entire system and the user interface guarantees work efficiency. Syriuszstd is extremely concerned with the management of different forms of unemployed activation. The new system enhances the service of clients using the job centres’ services and facilitates access to labour market services for people seeking employment.

“The functionality of Syriusz significantly simplifies the procedure of seeking out job offers and matching them to the expectations and needs of our citizens. Of course even the best IT system cannot replace career advisors and personal contact with job seekers, even though they now have professional IT tools at their disposal” admits Waldemar Zieba.
