Telerik, a leading vendor of developer tools and components for .NET, is honored to announce that it has been recognized as a 2008 Visual Studio Magazine Readers’ Choice Merit Award winner. Telerik has been presented with awards in two categories—Component Suites for .NET – Desktop and Web, and UI Components – Web Forms.

The Readers’ Choice Award represents a selection of the best Visual Studio tools for the past calendar year, determined by the readers of Visual Studio Magazine. The award honors excellent software in 22 categories that have proven to add value, efficiency, and performance to customers worldwide. The 2008 winners will appear in an upcoming issue of Visual Studio Magazine.

“These awards are especially noteworthy because it is the people who use these products day in and day out, the developers in the trenches, who select the products they consider the best in their respective categories,” said Visual Studio Magazine editor in chief Patrick Meader. “We respect the work of all the vendors who help make the Visual Studio third-party marketplace so robust and dynamic. Their efforts save countless hours and untold amounts of money for professional developers everywhere.”

The awards are based on the responses of 539 Visual Studio Magazine subscribers. An email invitation was sent to 23,000 randomly selected subscribers and responses were collected from April 28 – May 2, 2008. The ballot, which was compiled by the editors of Visual Studio Magazine, included more than 400 products.
