Telesens, an independent software vendor (ISV) of products and services to the Telecommunications market, headquartered in London, with a development centre in Ukraine, in 2012 further expanded its footprint of activity beyond the traditional CIS market.

Last year Telesens Product Line (PL) division concluded 34 contracts – functionality enhancements and service renewals – for the Telesens Interconnect Business Suite (TIBS). Telesens Custom Solutions (CS) division concluded 25 contracts for custom solutions development and for support of installed software.

Turkey, India were added to the list of traditional markets such as Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Turkmenistan,  Azerbaijan, and England. In addition, last year the company opened a representative office in Vietnam targeting the Asia-Pacific region.

Last year was characterized by an increase in system integration work volume. Telesens CS main client was Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN), for which Telesens performs integration work on CDR processing platform charge@once and the SAAM provisioning platform, as well as support for Telesens’ solutions and those of other system integrators. Also Telesens’ employees participated in integration projects of Digital Route AB. Cooperation with Avologic, acoreus, Bestence GmbH, ECB, Proteo, ServiceTick and МTS Ukraine continued. In 2012 NEC and SHD became new Telesens’ customers, and Siemens Convergenсe Creatoгs and Comptel Corporation were added to the growing list of Telesens’ partners.

In 2012 Telesens PL division detected a market revival that suggests that the effects of the 2008-2010 crisis are diminishing. As a result, CSPs have funds for software refresh and Telesens took part in a range of tenders for wholesale renewal of OSS/BSS. The results of the tenders – for telecom operators in Moldova, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Russia – will be known this year. Last year was also notable for the development of a settlement system for roaming services ‘T-Roaming’, which is currently in operational testing prior to release.
