TotalSoft, the Oracle partner that is certified to sell, implement, provide training and consultancy for Primavera and the only company in Romania that can provide technical support for this solution, announces the conclusion of a contract with SAUDI ARAMCO TOTAL Refining and Petrochemical Company (SATORP) from Saudi Arabia, having as object selling the Primavera system.

The Primavera licenses implemented by TotalSoft in June, underline also the first project management software sale performed by a Romanian company in Arabian Peninsula that will be used for the construction of one of the world’s largest refineries – “JUBAIL REFINERY”. The JUBAIL Project implies a 9.6 billion USD total investment and is considered to be the world’s largest project at the moment and of a strategic importance for Saudi Aramco and Saudi Arabia Kingdom, this refinery being the largest one in Middle East.

By its completion, which is provided for 2013, the new refinery will be one of the most developed refineries in the world, with a planned production of 400,000 barrels per day.

Using Primavera project management system, the company will ensure the software platform necessary for the human resources (30.000 workers), financial (the raw materials, construction and equipment will cost around 5,5 million UDS) and materials ( 1 million cubic meters of cement, 4,250 equipments, 30,000 tones of metallic structure, 100,000 tones of pipes – 7000 km) correct management.

TotalSoft’s contribution to the project will continue in the second half of the year through the extension of the number of licenses and technical support, but also through the development of new solutions for project management.

TotalSoft owns a vast experience in the Romanian Petrochemical Industry, starting from 2001 with the implementation of Primavera at Rompetrol in order to complete the Petromidia Refinery revision. Until now, Rompetrol has completed, under TotalSoft’s consultancy, 2 revisions of this refinery – during 2001 and 2005. Moreover, Arpechim Pitesti (2006-2007) and Petrotel Lukoil Ploiesti (2004) revisions have been completed under TotalSoft’s consultancy too, TotalSoft being the only Romanian software company that has competencies and experience in planning and tracking such a complex process, with special financial implications like the revision of a refinery.

This year, after 6 years from the first revision performed under TotalSoft’s consultancy, Lukoil will complete the largest modernization project of a Romanian refinery, the project management consultancy being provided also by TotalSoft specialists.
Through all the implementations performed during 15 years as Primavera representatives, ToltalSoft has managed to cover the entire gas and oil market, having customers such as: Petrom, Rompetrol, Lukoil, Romgaz, Transgaz, RAFO Onesti and Steaua Romana.

The contract concluded with SATORP Saudi Arabia marks a new market that TotalSoft enters with the Primavera system, the third market after Romania (600 clients) and Hungary (38 clients).
