US Tech Giant CSC Mulls Expansion of Its Lithuanian Unit

US technology services giant Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), which employs almost 500 people in Lithuania, is looking at whether CSC Baltic’s services center in Vilnius could maintain Nordic e-health systems, reports LETA/BNS according to the business daily Verslo Zinios information.

Philippe Blanco, general manager for healthcare in the Nordic countries and southern and western Europe at CSC, has this week met with officials from Invest Lithuania, the government’s foreign investment promotion agency.

“The Vilnius services center is already providing services for some of our projects in the Nordic countries, but not those related to healthcare. I am here to find out if and how we can use the available resources in the center to better serve customers in e-health in the Nordic countries and other regions of Europe,”

Blanco said.

CSC is currently bidding for several major public procurement contracts in the Nordic countries and if it wins, the Vilnius center will have more work to do, he added.
