A park of mobile technologies has been opened in the Kaunas Free Economic Zone, reports Vz.lt. The size of the investment totaled EUR 3 million.

The largest handset repairs plant in th Baltic States will operate there. MTTC, Mikrovisata and Mobile Center, which have recorded EUR 88 million in revenues this year, have their premises at the new park.

MTTC also has its handset repair plants in Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn. The new plant, with 170 employees, has raised the monthly capacity of the company from 24,000 to 40,000 handsets. About 40 percent of the handset repair services of the company are for foreign companies.

Mobile Center is a handsets wholesaler. Mikrovisata, in cooperation with its China-based partner, produces smart devices under the e-star brand.
