Tieto and Marketmedia Oy have agreed on co-operation on mobile marketing services for B2C communication. Marketmedia will launch mobile services based on Tieto’s Mobile Shopper service to offer new ways to bring efficiency into the retailers’ marketing efforts.
There is a clear call for this type of services in the retailer market as the industry is looking for ways to improve customer service and customer retention. For the consumers, the service offers relevant information directly through the mobile channel, and allows them to find the services and product information more easily. The consumers can give direct feedback and follow e.g. the Facebook feed of the retailer. Marketmedia will introduce the new service at the Retail fair in Helsinki on 14-15 March.
The co-operation between Tieto and Marketmedia is a new concept for both partners. Tieto was looking for a partner in the marketing side as the Mobile Shopper service is well suited to the product portfolio of a retail marketing company. Marketmedia on the other hand was missing a mobile channel from their service portfolio, but has the existing customer relationship with several leading retail players in the Finnish market. Mobile Shopper is a cloud based service where Tieto takes the responsibility for keeping up with the shopper behaviour and technical development.
