Hungary launches internet consumer protection website

Hungary’s telecommunications authority NMHH launched szelessav.net, a consumer protection website where customers can check their download and upload speeds as well as find out other pieces of information about internet services offered by ISPs in Hungary.

The data is meant to help consumers more consciously choose their ISP service and verify if the quality parameters from their subscription are met.

The website is also expected to boost competition in the market.
