Immersive virtual reality experiment developed by ELEKS’ Digital creative division wins silver placement in major web competition recognizing creative excellence on the web

ELEKS’ Mobile 3D Car Interior Preview has been announced a Silver Winner of the 2015 W³ Awards in the category Mobile Apps/Sites – Innovative/Experimental. The W³ Awards honors outstanding websites, web marketing, web video, mobile sites/apps and social content created by some of the best interactive agencies, designers, and creators worldwide.

ELEKS’ submission featured the company’s recent experiment for the automotive industry – a 3D car interior preview mobile website. Powered by virtual reality and the capabilities of WebGL, this innovative experience enables users to view the car’s interior online from different angles, and to customize the design and textures with a single tap. The experiment has been already named Mobile Site of the Day (MOTD) by one of the most influential Internet award programs, the Favourite Website Awards.

The W³ is sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA). In determining winners, entries were judged based on a standard of excellence as determined by the AIVA, according to the category entered.
