Future Processing educates future experts during ABSL Academy

Association of Business Service Leaders (ABSL) Academy is an educational program which has been running from November 2015 in Poland. Łukasz Januszek from Future Processing had a chance to give a lecture as well.

ABSL Academy is a national educational programme, aimed at developing practical skills, valued by Polish and international employers.

The Silesian edition runs till the end of March 2016 and it takes place on Silesian University in Katowice, the University of Economics in Katowice, and the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice.

The programme is divided into three blocks, each dedicated to a separate subject.

Companies like Capgemini, PWC or Cooper&Standard will share their business knowledge with students and graduates.

This year Łukasz Januszek from Future Processing gave a lecture entitled „Iterative business process capture”, which gathered many students, also from non-IT fields. Afterwards, he said:

During the workshops, I always pay attention to communication and showing non-programmers what our work is all about and how various incomprehensibility problems arise and make our lives harder.

We started with problems between Product Owners and teams and smoothly went on to typical solutions, like introducing an iterative process (Why waterfall isn’t the best solution?). At the end, we began to write pseudo-code.

Starting with the problems gave us a chance to fully see how ‘Client’s word’ changes through the development to ‘class and method signature.’

At the end of ABSL Academy, after passing all the necessary exams, participants receive certificates to prove their competencies.

Unilever, PwC, Rockwell Automation, IBM, Cooper&Standard, and Capgemini are just a few international companies that took part in Silesian edition of this year’s ABSL Academy.

Future Processing was the only company with Polish capital.

We are very happy that our team members, apart from investing in their own development, still find time to share their knowledge with others.
