Raiffeisen Bank Aval and De Novo Announce the Signing of the Largest Contract in the Ukrainian DPC Market

Raiffeisen Bank Aval and De Novo – a company that provides professional IT services, the leading commercial Data Processing Center (DPC) operator and the first Ukrainian Cloud Datacenter operator – begin the cooperation within the framework of the largest contract in the Ukrainian commercial DPC market.

The five-year contract to rent Data Processing Center resources, signed by Raiffeisen Bank Aval and De Novo, is an essential step to the strategy of the bank IT infrastructure consolidation, the improvement of the efficiency of all IT systems and of client service quality.

“The recognized leader of the Ukrainian financial market, Raiffeisen Bank Aval, has finally approved an earlier nominated tendency in Ukraine to restructure the IT assets of large enterprises, – observed Maxim Ageev, CEO of De Novo, – IT services of the clients are more focused on the maintenance of the key business processes and business applications, transferring many supporting functions to trusted partners and contractors. This approach solves a lot of problems, both financial and operational. We are proud that the choice of Raiffeisen Bank Aval has been made in favor of DPC De Novo. We have once again confirmed the status of the best DPC center operator for financial institutions”.

De Novo became a partner of Raiffeisen Bank Aval following a multi-stage audit of DPC engineering infrastructure, its compliance with corporate and industry standards. The audit was conducted both by Raiffeisen Bank Aval IT services specialists, and the representatives of the Raiffeisen Group headquarters in Austria.

The scale of the contract between Raiffeisen Bank Aval and De Novo can be proved by the following facts:

  •     The subject of the rent is a set of DPC shielded modules, where the entire computing infrastructure of the client is to be placed. IT infrastructure of Raiffeisen Bank Aval is comparable in its size to the amount of infrastructure of 6-8 top twenty banks in Ukraine
  •     All existing platforms of Raiffeisen Bank Aval will be consolidated into a single infrastructure complex on the basis of De Novo DPC
  •     The volume of the contracted quota of power is over 300 kW
  •     The contract terms provide the client the possibility for flexible scaling of DPC resources, that creates favorable conditions for the effective growth of Raiffeisen Bank Aval IT infrastructure with minimal expenses
  •     De Novo specialists are to establish a SCS system tailored to the bank within the framework of the contract, as well as modify the system of monitoring and access control.

In fact, Raiffeisen Bank Aval gets at its disposal its own DPC with the highest level of control over their own equipment, as well as over the key parameters of the object life support.
