Skagen Funds Goes Live with Comarch Client Reporting and Communication Platform

The project aims to deliver the best-class reporting to individual and institutional clients in several countries and to support communication of the company and advisors with their clients thanks to internal reporting and analytical tools.

Comarch Client Reporting and Communication platform not only automates the mass reporting process for individual and institutional clients, but it also offers a range of customization options, enabling both clients and internal advisors to be creators of their own reporting universe.

Jim Sumpter responsible for International Business Development in Skagen Funds comments: From the onset, the goals of the project were robust and challenging. Fundamentally, we were seeking a partnership with a firm with whom we could build a lasting relationship, that shared similar values and goals, and with whom we could grow together in the future.

Technically, the challenges were even more demanding as we sought one solution from one firm who could deliver the numerous elements of our platform – a DWH, custom algorithms for calculations, a new web-portal and report distribution. This all needed to be developed and implemented in the context of an aggressive timeline, while always being mindful that the content had to communicate the unique SKAGEN history and philosophy.

Marcin Tos, project manager from Comarch, underlines key factors that played a crucial role in the successful completion of the project: trust, close partnership and good communication between Comarch and Skagen teams as well as project stakeholders operating also on markets outside Norway. He said: From the very beginning the project was very challenging due to limited timeline and large scope. Effective coordination and integration of data management processes, reporting solution and performance and attribution engine made Skagen’s vision real. This was critically important due to the fact that solution is provided in SaaS model using one of Comarch’s data centers.

This was quite an ambitious undertaking, yet Comarch has delivered on all project’s goals without exception. The project was professionally managed, the absence of which would have made the on-budget, on-time delivery impossible. Further, we have benefited from an attitude of flexibility provided by the Comarch team as the complex nature of this solution required. Succinctly stated, the professionalism, progressive and creative development, and excellent results achieved by the Comarch team has exceeded our expectations.
