The investment encompasses 4 projects and each concerns financial/banking sector and development of financial and analytical systems. All projects tackle high-tech issues and require particular domain know-how and experience.

Therefore, we plan to hire at least 70 software engineers able to develop high class software as well as deliver new solutions, more effective than currently in use. The solutions must be innovative and provide added value for clients and already working systems.

This Research & Development unit will among other things deal with faster and more secure algorithms in financial systems working real time. The projects are long-term.

The Centre was acknowledged with a positive recommendation as investment of high importance to the Polish economy. Besides Poland there were other locations considered: Estonia, Argentina and Bulgaria.

The final decision was made upon high level know-how of Polish experts, development potential as well as innovativeness of Katowice which is a huge agglomeration and capital of the region.
